System Info

Package(s) Affected

google-chrome-112.0.5615.165

Does a report exist for this bug with the project's home (upstream) and/or another distro?

No response

Expected behaviour

The google-chrome stable once it's downloaded is supposed to open, and respond correctly.

Actual behaviour

When download, it downloads, but then when open it does not respond correctly by not loading the webpage, and not loading at all.

Steps to reproduce
  1. Go to void-packages cloned repository.
  2. $ ./xbps-src pkg google-chrome
  3. Download google-chrome packages like "sudo xbps-install -Syuv --repository=hostdir/binpkg/nonfree google-chrome".
  4. Go to the xfce4-applications menu, then go to internet to open google-chrome.

Research direction

Start by rebuilding google-chrome-112.0.5615.165 with ./xbps-src pkg google-chrome and installing the resulting package from hostdir/binpkg/nonfree. Launch it from the XFCE applications menu and from a terminal, recording whether it opens and loads a webpage; done means the installed stable package responds normally.
