Description

Is this a new report?

Yes

System Info

Void 6.1.14_1 x86_64-musl GenuineIntel uptodate rF

Package(s) Affected

chromium

Does a report exist for this bug with the project's home (upstream) and/or another distro?

No response

Expected behaviour

Works.

Actual behaviour

When a call is started, the page becomes unresponsive. Probably at the point where the webapp tries to open the media stream.

I tried multiple call apps.

  1. Element Call (call.element.io)
  2. Google Meet
  3. Microsoft Teams
Steps to reproduce

Use these apps from Chromium on a musl system.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the hang with the chromium package on Void 6.1.14_1 x86_64-musl, using Element Call, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. Check whether the failure occurs when a web app opens a media stream, and determine the package-level cause. Done means the unresponsiveness is explained and a verified resolution is identified.
