Description

Is there a way to change nic teaming on the management switch without causing an outage?

I set the bare minimum options in the specs/policies which includes portNum on switch and nic order. When using the update virtual switch method I lose my host for good.

Research direction

Start with the update virtual switch method and the specs/policies fields mentioned in the report, especially portNum and NIC order. Investigate the management vSwitch update path and determine whether the change can be made without losing host connectivity; done means changing NIC teaming no longer causes a management network outage.
