Description

My use case is creating disk on datastore(a standalone vmdk not connected to any vm). How can I specify datastore cluster while creating bare vmdk? Is this possible? Thanks in advance for help :)

Research direction

Start by inspecting the pyvmomi vSphere API bindings related to creating standalone VMDK files and datastore clusters. Determine whether the exposed API supports selecting a datastore cluster for this operation; done means documenting a supported procedure or confirming that the capability is unavailable.
