Photon AMI on download page cannot be imported into AWS

Describe the bug
The Photon OS 4.0 Rev2 AMI provided here cannot be imported successfully into AWS. The attempt to import the AMI results in this error:
ClientError: Multiple different grub/menu.lst files found.
Additionally, exporting a vanilla Photon OS 4.0 Rev2 installation, altering GRUB to bypass the error above, and importing into AWS results in this error:
ClientError: Unsupported kernel version 5.10.83-4.ph4-aws
Reproduction steps
1. Download AMI from https://packages.vmware.com/photon/4.0/Rev2/ami/photon-ami-4.0-c001795b8.tar.gz
2. Upload/import into AWS as documented at https://vmware.github.io/photon/docs/installation-guide/run-photon-aws-ec2/set-up-photon-on-ec2/
Expected behavior
Error should not occur, instance should properly import and startup.
