Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

It would be interesting to have support for ldap, AD, freeipa and other authentication, using including modules of the sssd, thus having greater flexibility and greater control of users and access permissions.

Describe the solution you'd like

Implementation of packages and sssd integration as in other large distributions.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Adding sssd to distribution.

Additional context

many companies have Active Directory from Microsoft, and it eliminates the need to create a third party identity service to centralize information.

Research direction

Start by reviewing Photon’s existing authentication and package-integration structure; the issue does not name files, tests, or entry points. Define the supported LDAP, Active Directory, FreeIPA, and SSSD scope before implementation, with completion requiring documented integration and validation of centralized users and access permissions.
