Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Hello,

I'm really happy how Photon works - its speed and efficiency is amazing. So I like to use in as many VMs as I can.

But in one VM I need to install PlasticSCM client (plasticscm-client-core https://www.plasticscm.com/plastic-for-linux) which requires krb5-libs and underlying Glibc 2.34, and I tried already adding various repos which contains the krb5-libs and other dependencies, but without success.

The most successful repo was Fedora 35 Everything, but in the end it failed in due Glibc 2.34 missing version (or conflict). Could you please point me out which repo or other could be solution for this? I really don't want to resort to use different OS (thinking about Ubuntu Server now) as the efficiency of Photon is amazing!

Thank you.

Describe the solution you'd like

The krb5-libs being part of Photon repo

Describe alternatives you've considered

Provide different repo which will install krb5-libs correctly

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are identified. Start by examining Photon’s package repositories and dependency metadata for krb5-libs and the requested Glibc 2.34 compatibility; done means the package can be installed from a Photon repository without the reported dependency conflict.
