Description

Hi,

Thank you for such a great product, I am just wondering if photonos is geared towards containers how does one use docker in rootless mode, if there is no source for uidmap package.

Or is photonos already secured so no need for rootless?

what package type or alternative sources should we use if photon does not serve it, and if it is recommended to use docker in rootless on phontos how do i set it up?

Or am i using photon wrong?

Thank you

Research direction

Start by checking Photon OS package availability for uidmap and the documented Docker rootless prerequisites. Determine whether rootless Docker is supported, whether Photon OS already provides relevant isolation, and which package sources or alternatives apply. Done means documenting a clear supported setup or explaining the supported alternative.
