Description

  • Your Hyper.app version is 3.4.1. Please verify you're using the latest Hyper.app version
  • I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate

  • Any relevant information from devtools? (CMD+OPTION+I on macOS, CTRL+SHIFT+I elsewhere):
DevTools failed to load source map: Could not parse content for file:///C:/Users/rudmi/AppData/Local/Programs/Hyper/resources/app.asar/utility.js.map: Unexpected end of JSON input
  • Is the issue reproducible in vanilla Hyper.app?
I'm using vanilla, just downloaded hyper on PC for first time.

Issue

Hyper isn't recognizing basic commands (% ls) and I can't change directories. Tried a bunch of workarounds but unclear what I need to do next. New to Hyper and terminals. Hyper opened to my user/ directory instead of root - I think.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the report in vanilla Hyper 3.4.1 on Windows 10, using the provided .hyper.js settings and the reported commands. Inspect the shell and workingDirectory configuration alongside the attached screenshots; done means identifying why basic commands and directory changes fail, or documenting that the problem is outside Hyper.
