Description
Describe the solution you'd like
Like terminal or iTerm2, it would sure be wonderful to be able to issue a web search from any highlighted selection.
Describe alternatives you've considered
On mac, perhaps something like shift+command+f (plus a menu choice)?
Additional context
Would use the user's default browser, hopefully.
Apologies if this is already possible (I looked, but didn't see...)

Research direction
The issue names no files or tests. Start by locating the terminal's text-selection handling and keyboard or menu command entry points, then check how external links are opened. Done means a highlighted selection can trigger a web search through the user's default browser, with the proposed shortcut or a menu choice working on macOS.
