Description

] I am on the latest Hyper.app version

  • I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate

  • OS version and name: macOS v14.0 (Sonoma)

  • Hyper.app version: v3.4.1

  • Link of a Gist with the contents of your hyper.json: my hyper.js (also tried with nothing set)

  • Relevant information from devtools (CMD+ALT+I on macOS, CTRL+SHIFT+I elsewhere): n/a

  • The issue is reproducible in vanilla Hyper.app: yes

Issue

Setting up a new clean macOS Sonoma install (within Parallels VM)... Hyper is one of the first apps I'm trying to install. It installs successfully, but 100% of the time crashes when I launch it (the Hyper window never appears). Also tried with no hyper.js file.

Research direction

Start with the linked macOS crash report and the clean macOS Sonoma, vanilla Hyper.app reproduction described in the issue. Investigate the launch path for Hyper.app and compare behavior with and without hyper.js; done means Hyper launches successfully on a clean Sonoma installation without configuration.
