Description

Wondering if support for smooth typing is possible, as can be seen in VSCode:
editor.cursorSmoothCaretAnimation: true

Or: monkeytype.com

I imagine VS Code and Hyper being Electron-based there may be a way to do it.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by locating the terminal caret rendering and typing event handling, then compare the current behavior with VS Code's smooth caret animation; done means typing produces the requested smooth caret motion without disrupting terminal input.
