The issue is reproducible in vanilla Hyper.app: Is Vanilla
Issue
I'm getting a weird bug where when I start typing, the first character entered duplicates. The commands still work fine, meaning it's strictly a UI issue. The plugins are not the cause, as the issue still appears when I comment out plugins in the hyper.js config file.

Research direction
The issue provides no file, test, or code entry point. Reproduce the duplicated first character on Windows 11 with Hyper 3.3.0 in the vanilla configuration, then trace the UI input path; done means the first typed character appears once while commands continue to work.
