Description

I am using Hyper as Terminal on my mac.
I found out that 2 weeks ago, my Hyper is getting laggy when I have a lot of lines printed in the screen.

I normally open 2 Hyper windows, one for operation, another one for monitoring the logs.
When I restart my server, there might be 2,000 lines of code printed in Hyper. (I set my Hyper to keep unlimited lines)

The Hyper app started to crash.
Sometimes it will freeze my MacBook and take 20-30 seconds to recover.
Sometimes it will freeze the system forever. I have to use the power button on my MacBook to hard turn off my macbook.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the crash with two Hyper windows, unlimited scrollback, and roughly 2,000 printed lines on macOS. Confirm whether the app alone freezes or the whole system becomes unresponsive; done means sustained log output no longer causes Hyper or the MacBook to freeze.
