Description

  • I am on the latest Hyper.app version
  • I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate
  • OS version and name: Arch Linux using SwayWM (Wayland + XWayland)
  • Hyper.app version: v3.2.0 AppImage
  • Link of a Gist with the contents of your .hyper.js:
  • Relevant information from devtools (CMD+ALT+I on macOS, CTRL+SHIFT+I elsewhere):
  • The issue is reproducible in vanilla Hyper.app: yes

Issue

Caps Lock is ignored on Linux using AppImage. It works in every other app/program, it works even in the dev tools within Hyper, but not in Hyper itself.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Caps Lock behavior in the Hyper AppImage on Arch Linux with SwayWM, comparing the terminal with Hyper's devtools where Caps Lock works. Done means Caps Lock is recognized in the terminal while existing input behavior remains intact.
