Text disappears after suspending/sleeping computer

Issue

I noticed that when I suspend my computer with hyper tabs open, they get cleared of all text and are filled with a black box. If I type stuff, the black box goes away, but all text is invisible. I can still run commands, but as I said, no text appears. Below are two screenshots that depict what I see.

Start by reproducing the issue on Pop!_OS 21.04 with Hyper 3.1.4 in vanilla Hyper: suspend and resume with tabs open, then run a command. No source file, test, or entry point is identified; done means terminal text remains visible and the black box does not appear after resume.
