Mouse left click does nothing in the ssh session

Issue

I am connecting to a Linux OpenSSH server with OpenSSH client for Windows ("built-in" version from Windows Optional Software).
If I start htop and then try to click on the a different column to sort list by, nothing happens.
This is the same for other apps in the console mode (mc for example).

This issue does not happen if I connect to via Command Prompt under the otherwise identical scenario,

Just to confirm that the issue happens even if I use different OpenSSH version than the one shipped originally with the Windows.
It happens also if I use different target Linux server.

Reproduce the issue in Hyper on Windows by opening an SSH session and running htop or mc, then compare mouse behavior with the same connection in Command Prompt. Done means left-click actions in interactive SSH applications, such as changing an htop sort column, work as expected without changing the reported SSH or server conditions.
