Description

I am a newbie to hyper, and I experienced the below issue at the very first day with hyper.

On Windows10:

  • after installation, no shortcut created on the desktop, and also, no folder called hyper in c:\Program Files, which makes it hard to find hyper.
  • If C:\Users\${userName}\AppData\Local\hyper is acceptable, then how about the config location: C:\Users\sihun\AppData\Roaming\Hyper? Well, I prefer user_home, or use the same directory of the installation. Besides, no documentation in the README talking about the location, which makes it hard when trying to installing some packages/plugin, since newbies don't know where to config.

Research direction

Start with the README, which currently does not document the Windows installation or configuration locations. Review the reported AppData paths and installation behavior, then define whether the requested location, shortcut, or documentation change is in scope and how completion will be verified.
