Description
- OS version and name: Debian 10 Buster
- Hyper.app version: 3.0.2-3440
.hyper.js: Empty
By providing the virtual package, Hyper may serve as the sole terminal app on the system, allowing one to remove others such as GNOME Terminal.
In order to provide that, the package should also register itself for etc/alternatives/x-terminal-emulator. See issues like #2259.

Research direction
No repository file or test is named. Start by locating the Debian packaging metadata and any existing handling related to #2259; verify how the package can provide x-terminal-emulator and register etc/alternatives/x-terminal-emulator. Done means Debian can treat Hyper as the virtual package provider and select it through that alternative.
