Description

  • I am on the latest Hyper.app version
  • I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate
  • OS X El Capitan, ver 10.11.1:
  • 3.0.2:
  • Link of a Gist with the contents of your .hyper.js:
  • devtools also experienced the same bug...no texts, only messy color glitches (CMD+ALT+I on macOS, CTRL+SHIFT+I elsewhere):
  • The issue is reproducible in vanilla Hyper.app:

Issue

Everything worked fine in older version (hyper 2). This bug showed up when I updated to latest hyper 3.0.2. I've tried to remove ~/.hyper.js and installed hyper again through brew cask, still had the same issue. It seems to be a webGL rendering bug.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the rendering problem on OS X El Capitan with Hyper 3.0.2, both in vanilla Hyper.app and in its devtools, then compare the behavior with Hyper 2. The work is done when terminal text and devtools text render normally instead of showing color glitches.
