Description

  • I am on the latest Hyper.app version

  • I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate

  • OS version and name: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

  • Hyper.app version: 3.0.0

  • Link of a Gist with the contents of your .hyper.js: Vanilla

  • Relevant information from devtools (CMD+ALT+I on macOS, CTRL+SHIFT+I elsewhere): See screenshots. Looks like the term_term class extends left of the window.

  • The issue is reproducible in vanilla Hyper.app: Yes

Research direction

Start by reproducing the spacebar behavior in Hyper 3.0.0 on Ubuntu 18.04 with the vanilla configuration, then inspect the terminal element mentioned in the report as the term_term class using the devtools. Done means pressing space at a word-wrap boundary keeps the terminal within the window instead of causing horizontal scrolling; no source file or test is named in the report.
