Prompt char ❯ is not being displayed correctly when I open a fish shell for the first time. I'm using the mooji prompt which includes the char. I have also tried using fish -l without success.

Research direction
No file, test, or entry point is named. Reproduce the issue in vanilla Hyper on macOS with fish and fish -l, using the linked prompt configuration, then compare the first sub-shell with later shells. Done means the ❯ prompt character renders correctly on the first launch.
