can't source into Python virtual environment

- I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate
- OS version and name: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS

Issue
When using Hyper I can't source venv/bin/activate into a Python virtual environment. It works perfectly fine with the regular gnome-terminal on the same project. I've tried it with several different projects.
