Using hyper with Mingw

Description
I use hyper on windows with the default cmd shell but launch powershell and bash for windows by typing bash or powershell into hyper. I really like this as I use powershell for 70%+ but I still need access to the other shells regularly.
I have one project that uses msys/mingw to build the project. I'd like to use mingw shell interactively like I do with the other two. I have read through issue #1252 and this will allow me to configure hyper to always use mingw - but I am looking for a way to use it interactively like I use bash and powershell.
Is there a way for me to set this up?
