  • [x ] I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate

  • OS version and name: Mac OS High Sierra (10.13.3)

  • Hyper.app version: 2.0.0

  • Link of a Gist with the contents of your .hyper.js: https://gist.github.com/Rameshv/c31b02fa14327bfe97759f694dff21fa

  • Relevant information from devtools (CMD+ALT+I on macOS, CTRL+SHIFT+I elsewhere): N/A

  • The issue is reproducible in vanilla Hyper.app: Yes, even with all plugins removed

Issue

My current setup is fish shell with hyper. The issue is hyper is not rendering the powerline fonts correctlly(renders just the boxes). I am using the Fira Code font.

But the same font is working fine under both the Terminal.app and iTerm.app.

Hyper terminal with the issue

hyper

Terminal app renders correctly

terminal

iTerm app renders correctly
iterm

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue in vanilla Hyper.app on macOS High Sierra with fish and the Fira Code font, then compare Powerline glyph rendering in Hyper with Terminal.app and iTerm.app. Done means the Powerline glyphs render correctly in Hyper without plugins.
