Description

My nextjs project is app directory only there is no pages directory. I'd greatly appreciate an example that makes using wildcard subdomains work.

I almost got my middleware working with the existing pages directory examples but almost is not done :)

Research direction

Review the existing pages-directory wildcard subdomain examples and the repository's example structure first. Add a corresponding app-directory example that demonstrates working wildcard subdomains through middleware, then verify the example works in an app-directory-only Next.js project.
