Description
Before reporting your issue
- I have confirmed that this issue does not happen when ExplorerPatcher is not installed
- I do not have "register as shell extension" enabled
- I have tried my best to check existing issues
Repro ExplorerPatcher versions
I noticed an issue when using Explorer Patcher together with iCloud Drive for Windows.
After installing and enabling Explorer Patcher, I am no longer able to delete folders inside iCloud Drive directly through Windows File Explorer. When I try to delete a folder, the deletion does not work.
Interestingly, individual files inside iCloud Drive can still be deleted normally. The problem only affects folders. This means that I can delete files within a folder, but I cannot delete the folder itself through File Explorer.
The issue occurs while Explorer Patcher is installed. Without Explorer Patcher, folder deletion in iCloud Drive works normally.
Steps to reproduce:
- Install and enable Explorer Patcher.
- Install or open iCloud Drive for Windows.
- Open iCloud Drive in Windows File Explorer.
- Select any folder.
- Try to delete the folder.
- The folder cannot be deleted, while individual files can still be deleted.
This appears to be a compatibility issue between Explorer Patcher and iCloud Drive for Windows.

Research direction
No source file, test, or entry point is named. First reproduce the failure with ExplorerPatcher and iCloud Drive enabled, then compare folder deletion with ExplorerPatcher disabled; done means folders can be deleted through File Explorer without breaking individual-file deletion.
