Description

Originally by @hesara

VaadinServlet should also support serving byte ranges from a file to support pre-caching of videos in Chrome, video resume etc.

See https://vaadin.com/forum#!/thread/3731616 for more details and a suggested solution.

Research direction

Start by reading VaadinServlet and the linked forum discussion for the proposed byte-range behavior. Determine how file responses currently work and what HTTP range responses are required; done means video files support pre-caching and resume requests without breaking ordinary file serving.
