Description
Hi, uutils mainteners
we confirmed a serious bug when using the filename /dev/drm_dp_aux2, as my test confirmed
relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$ sudo ./sum /dev/drm_dp_aux2 a
sum: Timed out
relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$ sudo gnusum /dev/drm_dp_aux2 a

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue with sum /dev/drm_dp_aux2 a and compare its output with gnusum /dev/drm_dp_aux2 a; inspect the sum command entry point and how it handles a timed-out input. Done means a timeout for the device does not prevent the following argument from being processed and the output matches the demonstrated GNU behavior.
