Description
Hi, uutils mainteners
we confirmed a serious bug when using the filename /dev/drm_dp_aux2, as my test confirmed
relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$ sudo ./md5sum /dev/drm_dp_aux2 a
md5sum: failed to read input: Timed out
relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$ sudo gnumd5sum /dev/drm_dp_aux2 a
gnumd5sum: /dev/drm_dp_aux2: Connection timed out

Research direction
Start by reproducing the md5sum /dev/drm_dp_aux2 a command and trace md5sum's argument processing and read-error handling. Done means a timed-out or failed read for one filename does not prevent later arguments from being processed, with output matching the GNU behavior shown in the report.
