Description

Hi, uutils mainteners

to test that, you need run

relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$ sudo ./tac /dev/mem
relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$ sudo gnutac /dev/mem
gnutac: /dev/mem: read error: Operation not permitted
relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$

as you can see the gnu one error out while the uu tac, outputs no errors at all

Research direction

Start by reproducing the reported commands with uutils tac and GNU tac against /dev/mem, then locate the tac command entry point and its read-error handling. Done means uutils tac reports the read failure instead of exiting silently, with a regression test if the existing test structure supports it.
