Description

Hi, uutils mainteners

i want let you known, that is another error silence issue, i used

relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$ ./kill -l $'\xFFa\xFF'
EXIT

TRAP
ABRT
BUS
FPE
KILL
USR1
SEGV
USR2
PIPE
ALRM
TERM
STKFLT

URG
XCPU
XFSZ
VTALRM

relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$

as i can see just gets back signals full list, no errors while gnu kill errors out correctly

relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$ kill -l $'\xFFa\xFF'
bash: kill: a: invalid signal specification
relunsec@relunsec:~/software/coreutils/target/debug$

Research direction

Start with the kill command entry point and reproduce ./kill -l $'\xFFa\xFF', then compare its output with GNU kill using the command shown. Done means an invalid signal specification reports an error instead of silently printing the full signal list.
