Description

Was investigating the regressions with the selinux tests it appears that with the change that was made to stop the the rebuilding the gnu binaries again https://github.com/uutils/coreutils/pull/10907 the selinux tests began running the gnu test suite which caused two tests to fail due to our patches in build-gnu with our more verbose error messages. Ideally we would put something in the build-gnu script that stops the rebuild to occur when the gnu tests are run

Research direction

Inspect the build-gnu script and the SELinux test path; start by tracing how the GNU test suite invokes the script and reproduce the two failing tests. Done means GNU tests no longer rebuild the GNU binaries and the failures caused by the patched verbose error messages are resolved.
