Description
On macOS / BSD, dd doesn't use SIGUSR1 to print progress, but rather uses SIGINFO. This is implemented in GNU coreutils but not in uutils-coreutils.

Research direction
Start by locating the Rust implementation of dd and its existing SIGUSR1 progress-reporting handling. Compare the relevant GNU coreutils behavior and check how macOS/BSD expose SIGINFO. Done means dd reports progress through SIGINFO on those systems while preserving the existing behavior elsewhere, with coverage for the supported signal paths.
