Can't get USB passthrough to work with [certain] storage drives

Maybe this is a classic _RTFM_ moment, but I've looked at the documentation, issues here, looked for videos online, yet I can't find a solution. I've tried passing multiple SSDs (with USB 3 enclosures) through to a Linux guest inside my machine and it may show up (usually not), but not under `/dev/sda` (or whichever is most appropriate). Is this not supported due to the hardware reset limitation you've mentioned in the [documentation]()?
I've had this issue on macOS 26, so I'm fairly sure it's not a macOS 27-specific issue.

Start with the USB sharing documentation linked in the issue, then reproduce the passthrough attempt with the listed UTM, macOS, and M5 configuration. Check whether the drives appear in the Linux guest and under which device path. Done means establishing the supported behavior or limitation for these USB storage enclosures and documenting the required configuration or failure mode.
