handoff clipboard between iOS and macOS causing UMT VM to freeze

Description
**Describe the issue**
This happens consistently. I have handoff turned on between my iCloud devices (macbook and iPhone). Every time I copy something on my phone, this appears on my MacBook (see screenshot below). When my Linux VM is playing a video with VLC (I haven't notice this happening in other situation, but I can't rule it out), the VM freezes. Clipboard sharing is enabled.
I learned that if I exit full screen in the VM, sometimes I can gain control of the VM back, but it doesn't happen reliably.
