Mouse speed / tracking issue in OS9

**Describe the issue**
When running OS9 the mouse speed / tracking seems different to the host machine. It feels like mouse acceleration is on when it shouldn't be. When using SheepShaver for example, the tracking is exactly as it is on the host Mac. When using UTM it feels like the amount the mouse moves by is governed by how fast you move the mouse and not how much / far you move the mouse. It makes it rather hard to use compared to a native system / SheepShaver. Is there a setting I'm unaware of to alter the mouse behaviour?
