Description

Description of issue / requirement to address

At present, PROCESS has no models for runaway electron generation.

A good 0D fluid model paper was just recently released;

B. Zaar, I. Pusztai, I. Ekmark, and T. Fülöp, “An analytical criterion for significant runaway electron generation in activated tokamaks,” Journal of Plasma Physics, vol. 92, no. 2, p. E46, 2026. doi:10.1017/S0022377826101470

Research direction

No implementation file, test, or entry point is identified. Start by reading CONTRIBUTING.MD and the cited paper, then trace how existing PROCESS models are structured and selected. Done means adding and validating a defined 0D runaway-electron generation model, with its scope and expected behavior documented.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
