Description
The STEP demoutable joints might be non-sliding. This means that, if there is not vertical compressive structures, a non negligible fraction of the vertical forces will be applied to the CP (around 65%).
Although this repartition depends of the coil shape, and more specifically to the coil curvature radius, the Princeton-D coil providing an equirepartition of the inboard-outboard vertical tention. As this repartition is quite complicated in reality and depends on both shape and inter-coil structure, the inboard vertical tension fraction can be set by the user.
However, in the case of a picture frame coil, this repartition can be relatively simply calculated as indicated in the following document

The proposed action of the issue is to implement this formula in the case of a picture frame coil.
