Description

I installed lightdm in arch.
I got the cryptic error "exit-code" because no greeter was installed

I suggest a more helpful error like "Error. No greeter found. On some distributions a greeter needs to be installed separately."

No file, test, or entry point is identified in the issue. Start by locating where LightDM reports the cryptic "exit-code" when no greeter is installed, then verify that the resulting message explains that a greeter must be installed separately.
