Description
How to add a Single Channel Guest to the #slackers channel:
- Click the workspace name, i.e. UAB Research Computing upper left
- Click the "More" button if needed, to the right of the Workspace tray
- Click "People" to open the "People" menu in the Slack app
- Click Invite People near the top-right to invite someone
- Enter their email address
- Invite as: Guest
- Channel: #slackers
- Expiration Date: None, unless advised otherwise
- Enter a message and click Invite
Important: Inviting a user via the channel admin -> members panel will add them as either part of our license or Slack Connect. Not as a guest
Important: Do not add people to multiple channels using any part of the interface. Doing so causes us to be billed for them as full members.
