Description

Whole-program inference ignores the following locations:

  • methods or fields in anonymous classes.
  • methods or fields declared in a superclass, but used in a subclass
  • type arguments
  • variable arguments
  • static methods called in a static context

(This issue is referring to the whole-program inference in PR #612)

Research direction

Start by reading PR #612 and tracing the whole-program inference implementation it introduced. Identify how inference handles anonymous classes, inherited members, static calls, type arguments, and variable arguments, then add coverage for the unchecked locations and verify the corresponding inference tests.
