Description

Transferred from http://code.google.com/p/scalacheck/issues/detail?id=82

Some tests my result in an infinite loop, and this may not be predictable in advance. It would be great if the runner supported an option that kills any test that has run longer than X seconds.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points, so first locate the test runner and determine where a per-test timeout option belongs. Define how the timeout is configured and what happens when a test exceeds it; done means a long-running test is stopped after the requested number of seconds.
