Description

There's a bunch of warnings that Dotty emits, e.g. type tests that cannot be checked at runtime.

I suspect many of them can be resolved in a way that are compatible with Scala 2.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are identified. Start by compiling Cats with Dotty and catalog the emitted warnings, especially runtime-uncheckable type tests; done means the warnings are resolved while remaining compatible with Scala 2.
