Type enhancement
Created 2006-12-09 05:19:31Z

In an email from Rusty Wilson:

  1. there is no metadata (description or keywords) in any of the pages I checked. I know google uses page content as its primary method for ranking, but I seem to remember not having any meta data was the topic of some discussion about negative impact
  2. Metadata might be useful for listing in web searches and index sites (usually the pull the summary info from the "description" data)
  3. your page titles (especially the home page) are a little brief. Page title is one of the highest weighted factors to google (as least it was the last time I check in on some SEO stuff). Another reason for the page titles are search engines / index sites. Again, its where they get summary info. What about:

"Twisted: Python based event-driven networking framework"

Research direction

Start with the website component and locate the templates or page entry points responsible for the home page and other page titles. Review the current title and metadata output, then compare it with the requested descriptive title and searchable description or keywords. Done means the relevant pages expose improved titles and metadata and the website checks pass.
