Description

I was using embedded replica on a database for the first time and started debugging a replication bug because the database was empty. However, the problem was as simple as forgetting to do a sync(). Let's consider making database open do an implicit sync so that when you're opening an embedded replica, you automatically have the latest data.

Research direction

Start by tracing how an embedded replica is opened and where sync() is currently required. Determine whether opening should perform an implicit sync and verify that newly opened replicas contain the latest data without an explicit sync().
