Description

Hey, thanks for creating this! I was looking through the API today and I discovered some omissions:

  • query_row only exists on statements, not on connections / transactions - which means there is no way to query a single row without preparing a statement
  • If I use a connection to initialize a prepared statement, I cannot run it later from inside a transaction

Would be great if these could be added!

Research direction

The issue names no files or tests. Start by locating the Rust crate APIs for connections, transactions, and statements, then trace the existing query_row path and prepared-statement execution. Done means both requested connection/transaction use cases are supported and covered by appropriate tests.
