Description
There's preliminary support for promise API, but we still need to do asyncify the following:
[ ] Database.open()
[x] Database.sync()
[ ] Statement.run()
[ ] Make Statement.iterate() return an async iterator?

Research direction
Start by reviewing the preliminary promise API and the unchecked Database.open() and Statement.run() items. Determine the intended behavior for those operations, then assess whether Statement.iterate() should return an async iterator; done means the selected promise API work is implemented consistently with the existing Database.sync() support.
