Description

Some questions:

  • Should we 'unmerge' the cells on colspan/rowspan and leave the merged empty?
  • What to do with headers with rowspan? Merge contents?
  • Think in more options to the user to filter HTML content (via selectors, for example).

The selection library may be useful here.

Research direction

No repository file, test, or entry point is named. Start by reviewing the HTML parsing path and the linked selection library, then settle expected behavior for colspan, rowspan, headers, and selector-based filtering before defining tests that demonstrate the agreed results.
