[shadow] case where parsing of link markdown doesn't get it right

Start by reproducing the original description's nested link case in the Markdown parser, using the example input and current HTML shown in the issue. Done means the URL is preserved as link content without the path being split into an unintended emphasis element; the issue does not name a file or test to run.
